I didn’t want to write about Jihadi John anhymore as I deeply dislike the media hype around him. However, he does seem to kick off a few discussions the media usually wouldn’t touch. Such as the abuse of our welfare state.
It’s not just the case in the UK but in most European countries – we have a reasonable amount of money and wealth and therefore systems to look after the weak in our society, people who need help. It’s a great system preventing people from falling into the darkest places of life. It’s a system built on trust hence easily abused. We never thought it necessary to put too many control measures into place, we thought it won’t be abused…
